If you have never visited Peggy Porschen before then you are missing out and I suggest you make your way down there as soon as your in or around London, I myself have only been there twice before but the memory of their cakes leave the wonderful memory and make me want to go back every weekend.
The first time I visited I went with my fiancé just on the off chance after having nothing to do one Sunday, I had obviously seen so many beautiful pictures on Instagram and wanted to check it out for myself, my boyfriend not really understanding the hype still drove me there regardless, and upon arriving the shop was packed inside and out, what with it being late afternoon and a weekend, but I was in absolute love, its actually just as pretty seeing it in person, there were so many people lining up outside taking pictures of each other and patiently waiting to get their perfect Instagram shot, and quite obviously I was itching to get mine. A few pictures later and a cupcake each to go it was time to hit the road, but I was determined to go back to have a piece of their delicious cake and coffee and sit outside in their beautiful seating area, So that’s when I decided to make a date with one of my close blogger friend Heather and make a girly day out of it and that’s exactly what we did.

So my second time back to my new favourite cake shop I was with someone who appreciated not only delicious cake but also appreciated the art of Instagram picture taking, we met at Victoria station and walked there in under 10 minutes, thankfully we went on Monday afternoon so it was quite empty and we managed to get a table outside, I was actually more excited for Heather because this was her first time visiting the shop and I know her love of sweet treats is just as big as mine, Once we were inside it took us about 5 minutes to actually decided on what we wanted, even though there isn’t exactly a huge amount of choice both the slices of cakes and the cupcakes look so delicious its almost impossible to choose, finally we picked I had the champagne and strawberry cake and Heather had the salted caramel chocolate cake and we both had a freshly made summer berry iced tea, and let me tell you this trip was even better then the last the cake was incredible I’ve never had cake like it, its so moist and light and wasn’t overly sweet and the summer berry iced tea was so refreshing and perfect to wash the cake down with.  But of course before we devoured what was in front of us it took us about 15 minutes to get the perfect pictures ( I think the people in the coffee shop across the street thought we was mad) but it was so worth it.
Just before we left we got a few pictures of each other outside the shop and just a few pictures of the shop itself and all the beautiful flowers and props that surround it, I think its so much better going places like this with friends especially when you both don’t mind about how long it takes to get that perfect picture, I honestly cant wait to go back I defiantly want to try the salted caramel cake the next time I go and one of their coffee’s and excitingly enough I’m going their in September with a bunch of blogging friends I met on twitter and I honestly cant wait.

If you haven’t been before and your a sucker for amazing cake and a pretty pink picture for your feed then I couldn’t recommend Peggy Porschen enough. Have you ever been before? if you have let me know in the comments and let me know what you had I would love to have the inspo for next time, maybe I can get a few to go..
Until next time.

I feel like I’m late to this party, and by party I mean this review of the Zoella’s new jelly and gelato range, I actually wanted to post this as soon as I got my hands on these beautifully packaged products, but I wanted to take some time to actually use the products and get to know them and really see if they were the best products Zoella has released yet  and when I found out that they all had the sent of elderflower and pomegranate to me that just screams summer, so on that note here are all the products I purchased from the jelly and gelato ranged and what I thought of each product.

After seeing so many blog posts and YouTube videos reviewing these products, I think this was the one products I was most excited about using, not only because I’m a sucker for body creams but after seeing that this body cream had little beads inside that burst into your skin as you moisturize, so with this being the product I was most excited about, this was the product I started using straight away, as soon as I took of the lid the smell was just incredible the sent is just so summery and so fresh, I love putting it on after I’ve had a shower, it leaves my skin feeling so moisturized, and my skin feels so soft for hours after, I also have started using it on my hands in the evenings before I go to bed, and I’m quite a suffer of dry hands and this has been working so well my hands still feel really soft and supple in the morning, this product defiantly lived up to my expectations.

I’m going to be honest I have only used two sachests of the bath frosting, mainly because I don’t want to use it all in one week, it doesn’t make any bubble in the bath so I do tend to use a bubble bath mixed in with it, but it does make the bath go a beautiful milky colour and the sent is so relaxing, the two times I have used the bath frosting ive made sure its a proper relaxing bath with candles and bubbles the lot, and although I haven’t used a lot of this product yet I’m deffantly enjoing it during bath time.

I have owned quite a few of the pervious body mists by Zoella, and I have loved every single one, and even though this one does smell amazing I’m not going to lie and say that its my favourite, because well that would be a lie, even though it does have a similar smell to the other products it does seem to be a little bit stronger and sweeter then the others, and I’m not the biggest fan of over sweet perfumes, so although its not my favourite out of all Zoella’s body mists, it is still a lovely sent but just a bit too overpowering for me but if you love sweet scents then this is defiantly the one for you.

THIS body wash is my new favourite thing in my shower, not only is it the most incredible packaging I’ve ever seen it literally makes me feel so fresh and clean after I’ve used it, it smells lovely and not at all too over powering or too sweet, it lathers up so well and is just the most lovely body wash. I really would recommenced this product to everyone because not only does it look incredible in the bathroom it makes you smell incredible.

That was the only products from the jelly and gelato range that I purchased, but I am looking forward to getting my hands on the others, not only for more gorgeous scents but for the beautiful packaging that looks incredible in my bathroom & bedroom. I defiantly feel like this is the best range Zoella has released so far everything about it just make me happy.  Have you used anything from the jelly and gelato range? If you have what was your favourite? was there anything you didn’t like as much? let me know below!

Until next time..

August Glossy Box, Was It Really The Best Box Yet?

August Glossy Box, Was It Really The Best Box Yet?

As I’m sure you might know by now, I have been a Glossy Box subscriber for quite a few months now, and honestly out of all the boxes I have received each month I have never been truly disappointed, I’m always discovering new fantastic products that I would of never of gone out and bought myself, and I have discovered a few really good brands that I now buy there products out of my own pocket. So last month Glossy Box launched their collectors edition boxes designed for the Summer months, last months was a cute pinker box then usual with “Hello Summer” on the front, inside was a bunch of goodies deigned to help us through the summer months from a gorgeous Spectrum collections make up brush to banana setting powder and even after sun, unfortunately the after sun hasn’t come that much in handy due to us having a awful month in London of rain and wind but fingers crossed that will changed from now on, so as you can probably tell I was already super pleased with Julys box, so when I started seeing spoilers of a few other peoples August box saying how pleased they were with it, I was so excited to get my hands on mine, and 2 days later I did and here are my thoughts on my August Glossy Box.

First of all I’m not going to lie, the design of this months box is incredibly cute, this is the first Glossy Box I have received that isn’t pink, this month its a gorgeous baby blue that has ” Girls just wanna have sun” printed on the front, before even opening this months box I was already over excited and I hadn’t even opened the lid yet, So of course naturally I threw off the lid and began to carefully unbox my box by carefully pulling the string of the neatly tied bow and trying not to rip the adorable baby blue tissue paper while pealing it back from the little Glossy Box logo sticker that holds it closed, and to my complete surprise it was packed full of products, I have never actually received a Glossy Box that had so many items inside. First thing I instantly went to grab was the Essence Cosmetics pallet, that can I just say is the coolest pallet I have actually ever seen the front is see through and the inside is filled with loads of tiny multi coloured beads that move through the pallet every time its moved, not only is it different it looks amazing and I LOVE it, also in the box was the two eyeshadows that are so pretty, a blusher and a highlight that all fit into this beautiful little pallet, I was already over the moon, and that was just one of the first things in the box.

Second item in the box was a small can of Batiste’s new 2 in 1 invisible dry shampoo & conditioner, I have actually been wanting to try this after seeing it posted of some Instagram accounts that I follow, sometimes I find dry shampoos always show up in my hair and always make it quite obvious I’m wearing it, and I also find they can make my hair feel quite dry, so what with this one being a conditioner as well as a dry shampoo I was really chuffed about getting this to try out.

Next in this months box was a total repair ice hair mask from a company called Valouer and I have never actually heard of this company before, but the fact that it has total repair written on the bottle is enough for me to want to give it a try, what with my hair being quite dry from all the bleaching in the past, the bottle is also quite a decent size with it being a mask I would say with my shoulder length hair I could more then likely get about 5-6 uses out of this one bottle, and if it does “totally repair my hair” then I will be straight on their website ordering more.

Second to last inside was a beautiful bronzer from Model Launcher, the packaging of the bronzer is simple, but when opened up its designed to look like leopard print while altogether combined different shades of golden shimmery bronze, I did actually try this bronzer over the weekend and I was honestly surprised, it wasn’t to heavy or to dark for my skin tone, I used quite a light powder brush to blend it in and I was pleasantly surprised seeing as I’m not actually a bronzer wearing sort of girl, but when going to a party or special occasion I will slap on a bit of bronzer to make myself look a bit more sun kissed, so I will be keeping this on close by for all the summer events I have coming up.

Lastly in this months Glossy Box was a really cute light blue handcrafted bracelet by a company called Purelei its just a small light material bracelet that has Aloha in gold writing written across it, I have a feeling its one of the type of bracelets you can buy the charms to slide onto them as well, but to be honest it looks so cute on its own, defiantly gives off a summery festival vibe.

And that’s it! that was all the amazing goodies I received in this months Glossy box, and YES in my opinion this was 100% the best box I have received from Glossy Box so far, not only was the box so incredibly cute and will look amazing on my shelf in my room, the content of the box was just incredible, I love how the Glossy team always seem to get the products they send me spot on, I know that’s obviously because when you sign up to the box you do fill out a small questionnaire about yourself, like what skin tone you have, hair colour and what type of hair, obviously that’s why I always get the products for dry hair.. but they never forget, you can tell that the items they send you isn’t just thrown in a box and sent on its way, someone is there making sure that you get a box completely tailored to you, and that why I really do love receiving my Glossy box each month.

If you have never had a Glossy Box before and feel like giving one of their collectors edition boxes a go, then head over to their website where the August box is currently on offer for only £6! that’s £6 for all of them amazing products, if you are interested and wanna take a look for yourself  Click Here to check it out, and before you think it, I’m no way shape or form promoting for Glossy Box, I just know that I love receiving lovely treats each month and I know so many people out there would too.
Have you already got this months Glossy Box? if so what did you get inside yours? let me know on the comments bellow.

Until next time.

How I Unwind And De-stress

We all know how difficult it can be sometimes to relax, I for one know it can take me ages and a lot of difficulty to unwind, not only with the daily stresses of that life throws at us day by day but also how anxiety can play a huge part in this as well, so In the last 6 months I have been trying to get into a routine of just switching off and finding my inner calm, and I wanted to share with you all just what I do to achieve this.

One of the things I find most relaxing after a long day is probably the most common, a bath and I know this is one of the key things people will tell you to do to help you unwind, but when I’m trying to de stress, a hot bubble bath just wont cut it without the right ingredients, I love including a bath bomb, Lush cosmetics do some really good bath bombs with some key ingredients that will help you unwind one of them being Twilight  I have been using this bath bomb since my first time shopping at Lush, one of its main ingredients is lavender which is balancing and calming, I love using this in my bath and getting straight into bed after not only so I feel so relaxed it also makes you smell great and I feel as if I just fall into a peaceful sleep straight after. I also am a big fan of the Lush luxury bath oils I love watching them melt under the running water and I love the way your skin feels after you get out of the bath you just feel so soft and moisturised, the one that I like to use most is the You’ve been mangoed

Long walks on my own used to be a something that would make me panic at just the thought of it, a few years back I couldn’t think of anything worse then being alone I used to hate it more than anything, even being alone in my house used to make my anxiety go crazy, but as I’ve gotten older I have really started to enjoy my own company, especially now that I started blogging and started finding a hobby in taking pictures, now I can just go for a wonder with my camera and end up stumbling upon the most beautiful things. I also am a big fan of people watching, from sitting on a park bench and watching the world go by to sitting in a Starbucks with my laptop, I find something comforting in watching the world go by and taking a sneak peak into other peoples lives for a few seconds, after I’ve had a day to myself like this I go home feeling uplifted and calm.

I can often find it quite difficult to get myself a early night, by the time I get home from work and do all the bits and bobs that need to be done and then trying to take sometime for myself, by the time it comes to bedtime I just cant seem to settle down, but a few weeks ago I discovered the Calm app and for anyone who hasn’t heard about this wonderful app before and you sometimes struggle to slip off into the land of nod then listen up because this one is for you. On holiday a few months back I was reading the Calm book and I found that to be really comforting and helpful what with my trouble with flying, and then I discovered the Calm app and it has so many great features included, some you do have to purchase but the ones that you do get for free are great, and to be honest I actually haven’t purchased any of the extra features as of yet, there are all sorts of calming exercises on the app such as breathing exercises, meditation and sleep stories, I use the sleep stories the most out of all the features, I have noticed such a difference in my sleeping habits since using the app, I’m going to sleep much earlier then usual once I press play on the sleep story I just feel myself start to relax, ive never made it through a whole story before falling asleep, I would 100% recommend this app to help you unwind, and fall off into a blissful sleep.

Last thing on my list is going to be pampering, as a women I know there’s nothing more amazing then the feeling of being pampered, anything from having my nails done to relaxing on my bed with a face mask on, face masks have been my new go to time out session, I love taking all my make up off and sticking on a mask and just laying down and chilling for the 15-20 minutes while the mask is going to town on my face, and then washing it off and feeling clean and refreshed, on some of my days off I go to town and do the works exfoliate, face mask, nails, and defiantly a good hair mask, I normally do this on a Monday evening because I work from Tuesdays to Saturdays it just makes me feel so good going back to work the next day, and I feel so good about myself.

what do you like to do to unwind? is there any products or app’s that you use that help you to switch off and find your inner calm? if there is I would love to know.

Until next time..

What do you enjoy most about blogging? My favourite thing about blogging would be, being able to switch off and just loose myself in what I’m writing, one other thing would also be, how many lovely and kind people I have been able to get to know since I started blogging, I never expected to make so many friends in such a short space of time.

  • How do you make the perfect cuppa?  Everyone will probably think I’m crazy but I don’t often drink tea, and if I do its early grey with no milk, i don’t think i have had an English breakfast tea with milk since I was around 9 years old.
  • Where do you see yourself in 5 years?  In 5 years time I would like to think that me and my fiancé will be married and will defiantly be living in our own house ( preferably in Brighton) and I would really love to have a steady career with my blog, that for me would be living the dream.

  • Who would you want with you on a deserted island?  If we are talking non – celebrity wise, I would want to have my fiancé with me, we have been together for 7 years and there’s not a lot we cant get through together so I think being alone on a deserted island would be a good challenge for us!

  • Cats or Dogs?  Defiantly Dogs! not that I don’t like Cats but my whole childhood my family always had a dog, I have grown up around dogs, so I could never picture not having one around and in my life, I will defiantly be one of them people that will always have a dog till I’m about 80 and cant physically walk the dog anymore.

  • What is your life motto?  Perfection is a journey not a destination.
